21 Days of Prayer and Fasting is a spiritual discipline by abstaining from eating at certain times and/or abstaining from consuming certain foods for 21 days. As a spiritual discipline, we use fasting as a means to humble ourselves before God. As we deny the desire of our flesh, we focus our attention to seek Him. As we rest our body from the food that it craves, we give spiritual food to our spirit and mind.
We encourage fasting for 21 days each year in the month of January. This is part of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting season as a church body. You may also choose to fast at other times during the year for your own spiritual development. It’s very typical to fast a single meal, a whole day, or three days or more.
There are several ways to engage in this fast, and we encourage you to prayerfully consider what God may be calling you to do. Click below to learn more about fasting and different options to participate.

Take 5 minutes each day to read the devotion and honestly answer the questions.
Determine to make any necessary changes as you seek the Lord through prayer and fasting. Days 7, 14, and 21 are intentionally meant for you to LOVE, LINGER, LEAN IN, AND LISTEN to the Lord. Turn your affections toward Him, lingering in His Presence, leaning into Him (and only Him) and then listen to what He has to say. Write down what comes to you from that special time together.
